Devkund Waterfall Trek from Pune: Complete Guide
Everything about the Devkund waterfall trek from Pune: where it is, the Bhira trail, the best season, pickup points, what to carry and safety at the pool.

Dev-Kund means “the reservoir of God”, and it lives up to the name. Three waterfalls meet in a clear pool that is said to be the origin of the Kundalika river. It is one of the most loved monsoon treks from Pune.

The trail
We drive from Pune to Bhira, freshen up at the base village and set off on foot. The trail runs through lush evergreen forest with water streams, a hanging bridge and views of the Kundalika Valley, Bhira Dam and the ranges of Tamhini Ghat.
At Devkund you get time to sit by the falls before walking back to the base village for lunch and the drive home to Pune.
Safety at the pool
Devkund looks calm, but the pool can be deep and the water under the falls is powerful in the monsoon. Stay where the trek leader tells you, keep out of the water when you are asked to, and remember that the trek leader’s decision is final. After heavy rain, streams on the trail can rise quickly.
